Become a Research Analyst
Research Analysts read what members submit to the public channels and decide what publishes there. They are members, given the role by our admins, and they work in the same pages you do.
What Research Analysts do
Review articles submitted to the public channels
Read each submission, comment on the passages that need work, then approve it, send it back for changes or reject it. Approving publishes it to its channel.
Clear the review queue
The Article Review page lists every pending submission, and your toolbar shows how many are waiting.
Answer members' research questions
Accept a question from the Human Intel queue, ask for more context, then answer it or decline it.
Take an approved article out of a public channel
With a reason of at least ten characters, which is sent to its author.
Flag posts that need a moderator
As every member can. Tools for watching activity across the platform (coming).
Report data problems
Check volumes in every market and report what looks wrong through Tickets & Requests. A review of equity volumes by region (coming).
Suggest new pages, features and datasets
Through Tickets & Requests, where every member's suggestions are listed.
Recognise strong members with Omega scores (coming)
What the role gives you
- The Research Analyst badge next to your name in the channels and in your account menu.
- Every market's data and every member tool, as a paid member has them, for as long as you hold the role.
- The Article Review page, and a count of pending submissions in your toolbar.
- Every article submitted to a public channel, readable while it is in review.
- The Human Intel research queue.
- Pinning posts in the public channels.
Research Analysts don't approve their own articles: another reviewer does.
