Privacy Policy

The short version: we do not sell, rent, trade, or disclose your personal data to third parties, ever. The rest of this policy explains what data we do handle and why.
This Privacy Policy explains how InfinityVolume ("we," "us," "our"), at infinityvolume.com (the "Site"), handles information in connection with your use of the Site.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information depending on how you interact with the Site:
- Account registration — if you create an account, we collect the information needed to do so, such as your name and email address.
- Email newsletter — if you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address (and name, if provided) to send it to you.
- Contact information you provide voluntarily — for example, if you email admin@infinityvolume.com, we receive whatever information you choose to include in that message.
- Server request logs — our hosting provider records standard information about requests to the Site, such as IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested. These are generated by the infrastructure itself, retained for a limited period, and used for security and reliability rather than to build a profile of you.
- Cookies — a small number. See the Cookies section below for exactly which, and what each one does.
- Usage totals — we count how often pages and features are used each day, as totals split into signed-out visitors, free accounts and paid members. For signed-out visitors only those totals exist: no IP address, cookie or other identifier is stored for them.
- Members' actions — for members, we also keep a record of your actions on the Site (the pages and features used, with the time) for 90 days. After 90 days only the daily totals remain, without your name.
An administrator can open one member's record only from that member's admin page, and every opening is logged with the administrator's name and the time; that log cannot be changed or deleted. The record holds which company pages, articles and features you used; it never holds the text of your messages or who you sent them to.
If we introduce additional features in the future that require collecting more information (such as payment details for a paid subscription), this policy will be updated before that feature launches, and you will be told at that point exactly what is collected and why.
2. Cookies
We set the cookies and browser storage keys listed below, and each one either keeps you signed in or remembers a choice you made on the Site. We do not set any cookie for analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking, and we do not allow third parties to set cookies through the Site.

Visit counts, on unless you turn them off.Vercel Web Analytics, from our hosting provider, is on by default. It counts visits and the pages viewed, in totals that Vercel also splits by referring site, location (country, region and city), browser, operating system and device type. It is cookieless: it sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser. Vercel tells one visit from another with a code computed from the request, which it discards after 24 hours. We receive no personal data from it, only totals, never your IP address, and each page's address is sent without its query, so a sign-in or reset link's code is never included. You can turn it off at any time with the Analytics switch in Cookie settings, at the foot of every page, and it stops at once; Essential only on the cookie notice also turns it off.
What we do not set. To be specific rather than reassuring: there is no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no PostHog, no Meta pixel, no advertising or retargeting tag, and no session-recording or heatmap tool anywhere on the Site. No third-party script on this Site sets a cookie.
Error reports. When something on a page fails, an error report is sent to Sentry, our error-monitoring provider, through our own address: what failed, the page it happened on, the browser and device type, and the steps on that page just before it. It sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser, it does not record sessions or measure performance, and it is not sent your name or email address.
Pictures in articles. A picture in an article that comes from another website is fetched by our server and served to you from our own address, so that website does not receive a request from your browser and cannot set a cookie through it.
If that changes. If we ever add a payment provider that sets its own cookies, or any other cookie that is not essential, we will update this policy before it goes live and ask for your consent at that point — with a genuine option to decline that does not degrade your use of the Site. We will not quietly begin tracking under a policy that says we do not.
Controlling cookies. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the session cookies will prevent you from signing in or staying signed in; blocking the others means the Site does not remember your choices. The public market data pages work normally without any cookies at all — you only need them for an account.
3. How We Use Information
Any information we collect is used only to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
- Respond to inquiries sent to us directly (e.g., via admin@infinityvolume.com);
- Understand aggregate usage patterns to make the Site more useful.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not build behavioral profiles for sale or third-party marketing purposes.
4. What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not rent your personal data.
- We do not trade your personal data.
- We do not disclose your personal data to third parties, except: (a) where required by law (e.g., a valid legal request from a government authority), or (b) to service providers who process data strictly on our behalf and under our instructions (for example, an email hosting provider or analytics tool), and who are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
5. Third-Party Services
The Site displays data sourced from third-party providers (financial data providers, central banks, government statistical agencies, etc.) as described in our Terms of Service. Viewing this data does not involve sharing any of your personal information with those sources — it is a one-way flow of public market/economic data into the Site, not a transfer of your data out.
If the Site is hosted or delivered in part through third-party infrastructure providers (such as hosting, content delivery, or analytics services), those providers may process limited technical data (like IP address) as part of standard web delivery — this is normal for any website and is not additional data collection by us beyond what's described above.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect any information sent to us, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy — for example, email correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to address your inquiry and for our own recordkeeping. A member's record of actions on the Site, and their lookups, are kept for 90 days; the daily usage totals, which hold no names, are kept.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you. Contact us at admin@infinityvolume.com and we will respond.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as the Site adds new features. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made. Material changes affecting how we handle your data will be communicated clearly, not buried in a silent update.
11. SMS and Mobile Communications
InfinityVolume collects your mobile phone number solely for the purpose of identity verification via one-time passcode (OTP) during account creation. By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive a single SMS message containing your verification code. You will not receive any further SMS messages from InfinityVolume unless you separately opt in to additional communications.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Standard message and data rates may apply to any SMS messages you receive from InfinityVolume. To opt out of SMS verification, you may contact us at admin@infinityvolume.com.
You can also opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for help.
